Only $125 for first time players!
Ringette Ontario requires that one parent of every ringette player under the age of 18 must take the Respect in Sport Parent Program by November 1. This course is mandatory to have the Player’s registration approved. If the parent has taken the course in the past (for any sport), they need only indicate the certificate number during the normal Ramp registration process. For more instructions, please check out

Birth Year: 2017-2020 (new to skating)
Description: Learn to Skate program for players born 2017-2020. For new skaters born in 2015 and 2016, see FUN2. Early bird discount of $25 is automatically applied until July 31st.
This program is for children who are new to ringette or skating, learning basic game structure, and still developing basic skills. This group plays cross-ice.

Ice Time: 1 session per week
Highlights of the Children’s Ringette Program:
- Ringette experience that is tailored to the age, size, and skill level of participants
- Participants are grouped by developmental stages rather than chronological ages and can move up when they are ready
- Emphasis on fun and fundamental skill development
- Increased opportunities for participation and engagement
- Adapted gameplay including small-area games and small nets
Birth Year: born 2017-2018 (and new 2015-2016 skaters)
Description: Children’s ringette program for players born 2017-2018 (and new 2015-2016 skaters). Early bird discount of 25$ is automatically applied until July 31st.
This program is for children who are learning to lengthen their stride, ready to learn more rules of ringette, and have developed some basic skills, this group plays Mini Ringette. It is also for new skaters born in 2015-2016, regardless of their skill level.

Description: House league play for players born 2015-2017. Early bird discount of 25$ is automatically applied until July 31st.
For children who demonstrate that they have acquired the physical, cognitive, and social readiness for more challenging play: this group plays full-sized ringette.
One practice and one game per week.
Please register player in his/her appropriate age division. Players must make the request, be evaluated and be approved to play in a division above or below their age group. House league teams do not participate in tournaments. Tryouts are held in the spring and fall to determine Development teams. A separate cost to cover the tournament fees will be paid directly to the Rep team manager.
Traditionally, most Development team players play in the House League since it allows them the chance to play games on a weekly basis.

Description: The Jacks division is structured to provide a fast pace, competitive level of play. Teams compete 1 to 2 times a week and include scorekeepers, shot clock operators and officials.
Former hockey players or someone looking to try a different sport are welcome.
WFRA aims to provide inclusive, CO-ED programming to support the continuation of the sport of Ringette for adults and young adults in our community. Gender specific change rooms are provided.

There is an option to participate in a traveling team that attends Open “B/C” level tournaments across Ontario as well as the Ontario Adult Ringette Championship if desired. Please note that this pricing is for the WFRA House League only. Participation in WFRA Rep/Development programs requires additional fees to cover extra ice time and tournaments.

Description: WFRA offers a recreational division for players to have a night out, get some exercise, meet new people and have fun. This is a fun, safe way to explore a great sport, and we welcome all skill levels- from newcomers that are improving their skating or someone that has not played in a number of years or someone that still wants to participate but does not want the pressure of having to play in a fast pace, competitive atmosphere.
Games are staffed by officials but scores are not recorded. Games are 1 night a week and teams are shuffled on an frequent basis with a focus on fun, fitness and friendship.
Former hockey players or someone looking to try a different sport are welcome.

Goalie Recruitment Initiative*
Players who register for the first time to play goalie full time will pay the new player fee of $125.
Players who acted as their team’s designated goalie and who played as such during games, practices and conditioning throughout the past season (2023-2024), as confirmed by their coach, will get a 50% reduction in their registration fee for the upcoming 2024-2025 season.
Players who acted as a part-time goalie (10 or more games) during the past season (2023-2024) in divisions U12 and above, as confirmed by a coach, will receive a $100 reduction on their 2024-2025 season registration.
* goalie recruitment initiative applies to players in the U12-U19 divisions. FUN 1, 2 and 3 divisions typically rotate the goalie position among the players to give them all the chance to try it out.
New to Ringette?
First time players pay only $125 for the season. *A “New Player” is defined as a player who has not registered with the WFRA in the past 5 years. This lower fee is for the first year only.
